Jim Demetry
Founder and Partner
Jim has years of experience working with businesses to prevent legal problems and to resolve legal disputes. As a law firm partner and former General Counsel and Chief of Staff, Jim has counseled and advised clients on a wide variety of business legal issues. In addition to his corporate and business experience, Jim has been recognized as a "Best Lawyer in America" in the area of Employment law and Employment Litigation, and has worked with companies on all aspects of the employment relationship. He has also litigated employment and commercial disputes in state and federal court throughout the U.S. Jim has particular expertise in the wholesale automotive remarketing industry as the former General Counsel of the largest company in the industry and current counsel to one of the largest trade associations in the remarketing industry. Most importantly, Jim prides himself on helping companies and its employees succeed.
Jim received his B.A. from the University of Michigan and his J.D. from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law where he was the co-founder and Editor in Chief of The Ohio State Journal on Dispute Resolution.

Peter Coffman
Partner
Peter is a trusted adviser to business owners and executives. He advises and represents clients in business disputes. He has particular expertise advising clients in "business divorces," helping clients plan to make exits easier and more reasonable as well as negotiating the de-coupling of business partners when the process is contentious. Peter has tried cases for a variety of clients, primarily in the automotive, media, education and real estate industries.
In addition, Peter has significant experience in secured lending and bankruptcy matters that enables him to provide guidance to lenders, especially in the automotive industry, and to creditors and counter-parties who have bankrupt vendors or are facing avoidance actions, as well as counsel to businesses seeking to purchase assets out of bankruptcy. He likewise has years of experience counseling businesses on operational and regulatory matters, contracting and collections.
Peter has been recognized as a Georgia "Super Lawyer" and for many years has been voted as a "Best Lawyer in America" in the area of commercial litigation.
Peter received his B.A. from Princeton University, his J.D. from the University of Michigan, and his L.L.M. from the University of Cambridge. Before entering private practice, Peter was a trial attorney in the Civil Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, where he specialized in administrative and constitutional cases. He also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Orinda D. Evans of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
